Just make sure, whoever you pick, to do your homework. Web hosting is kinda like going on a job interview.. "its all about being at the right place at the right time." just because 50 other people may have bad experiences, doesn't mean you will.

Hi,
I have no experiences with VPSblast.net and Hostingsource.com so can't tell you about their reliability. So i would suggest you to find one or more hosting providers and compare their features and prices along with their customer's feedbacks to each other. It will really help to choose the best one.

I suggested deluxservers.com - They provide fast and Linux VPS with excellent support.
-
Of course it's difficult to choose a right provider. But what people can do without trying? Try to find as much information about a provider as you can - it'll definitely help you to make a right choice.

50usd per month? That's quite expensive for a vps. Does it come with cPanel and management services? I usually pay only 10 to 20 usd for a vps of the size you mentioned.
