Starting a Post to Host

Do you think it's worth it to start a post to host? Have you started a post to host before?

I'm thinking about starting my own post to host, but to also have paid plans as well for users that don't want to post or need bigger hosting plans.

I have used post to host services before. In fact the very first hosting service I used was from Stonerocket which is a post to host service. Strangely Stonerocket managed to survive without having any paid upgrade options. I think it would be good for you to go over to Stonerocket to see how they managed.

It seems to be doing okay, but I can't tell if it's making money. I want to start a post to host, but if it doesn't have the potential to make lots of money. I won't bother with it.

From my brief survey of free hosting sites, I found that most of them have paid upgrade options. So the post to host offer is just the first step in a sales process. There is even one site which has a very low requirement of only 10 posts to get a free plan.
